A letter to our community about sequestration
As you may know Head Start is subject to the Federal Sequestration cuts. Sequestration is the budget cutting agreement that Congress and the White House made in early 2012 to enable another piece of legislation to move forward. Back then, it was generally agreed on all sides that sequestration was so terrible that Congress would never actually allow it to happen when it was scheduled to take effect on December 31, 2012. Well, here we are facing the cuts mandated by the sequestration agreement.
