Moose-A-Bec Early Care and Education Center, Child and Family Opportunities, Inc. located at 6 Head Start Road in Jonesport, Maine currently has child care openings. The Moose-A-Bec ECEC program provides year-round childcare services for preschoolers' ages 3 to 5 years old. Openings are currently available for pre-school ages 3-5 years in child care programs beginning in May 2008.
Parents are charged on a sliding fee scale. CFO provides a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack as part of the program. The hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. accommodating the needs of working families. In addition to the quality child development programming, families are offered an array of other comprehensive services including health screenings, nutrition assessment, parent education and outreach to other social service agencies.
Another plus for families using the Moose-A-Bec ECEC program is that CFO has been recognized by the Administration of Children and Families as a Program of Quality. Because of that designation the State of Maine will identify the program as a Quality Child Care Center allowing parents who use the program to receive double their child care tax credit on their State of Maine taxes.
Families are invited to stop by the center and talk with the staff about the variety of Head Start, Early Head Start and child care services offered.
